Pimpernel Among the Greens Powder Bath Remodel

Maple Grove, MN

This project aimed to transform a builder-grade bathroom into a timeless, classic space while maintaining the existing footprint. Client requirements included upgrading finishes, incorporating vintage wallpaper with an organic theme, designing a green painted vanity with storage, ensuring easy-to-maintain finishes, and removing the soffit.

The design faced challenges such as fitting a toilet into a small space and preserving the bathroom’s original layout. This powder bathroom remodel was part of a larger renovation project that also included the home office, laundry room, and kitchen.

To achieve the desired aesthetic, classic fixtures and finishes were selected for a cohesive look. William Morris’s “Pimpernel” wallpaper introduced a floral trellis pattern, creating a serene ambiance.

An elegant column faucet in polished nickel contrasted with a gold oval mirror, enhancing sophistication. The green painted vanity, featuring a three-drawer front and gold ring pull hardware, offered charm and functional storage solutions for hand towels and toilet paper.

A luxurious quartz countertop paired with an undermount sink provided a high-end appearance with easy maintenance. Recycled glass hexagon floor tiles mimicked marble, ensuring an upscale
yet practical look. A compact one-piece toilet fit perfectly within the existing rough-in, and its skirted design simplified cleaning.

Removing the soffit allowed for the installation of an elegant three-light wall sconce with linen shades, adding a warm and inviting ambiance to the overall design.
