Poised Perfection

Design Award Winner, Spring 2016 Remodelers Showcase

Plymouth, MN

By installing a pocket door instead of a swing door, this bathroom opened up to become much more functional.

The linen closet was deleted, but a toilet topper wall cabinet was added for storage. With the door open, this bathroom is seen from most areas of the main level, so a very formal painted-white vanity with furniture legs, vessel sink and Cambria counter top and bench top became the focal point. The tub was removed and replaced by a nice-sized shower. Crown moulding was installed around the room with rope lighting to create an attractive night light. The tile shower has glass accent tiles and black slate was used for the floor.
