The Phases of Home Remodeling: Our 6-Step Process

Trends

Crystal Kitchen + Bath has been in business for over 49 years with our focus on remodeling. Although we specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodeling, we also design other rooms in the home such as, laundry, mudrooms, home offices, lower levels and family rooms.

Our process has been perfected over those years to ensure that our designers and project team are helping your dreams become reality.

Phase 1:

Showroom Visit
The first step in the home remodeling process is to visit our showroom (or schedule a virtual meeting) and meet with your designer. During this time we will discuss your project wish list and go over your budget details. It is helpful to bring your measurements and blueprints if available, and of course inspiration for your project.

Phase 2:

Design Retainer
The next phase is when we will visit your home to collect measurements and conduct a field study. During this time we will review the preliminary plans and your designer will prepare conceptual drawings. This is also the first opportunity to discuss products and finishes.

Phase 3:

Project Development
The third step is when a Project Manager visits you home to develop scope of work and finalize estimates to complete the renovation. This is also when the designer will finalize construction drawings and product selections to get to the final cost.

Phase 4:

Final Agreement
Once the final estimate and scope of work is agreed upon, you will then sign the contract with a down payment. This is when we will prepare the project schedule, order all materials, and obtain required permits for the work.

Phase 5:

Construction
Next the construction is performed by licensed, bonded, and insured contractors. Your project manager and design will available for frequent communication and updates. They will be coordinating schedules, on-site supervision, technical review of the progress, and submitting change orders when necessary to ensure your home remodel is perfect.

Phase 6:

Post-Construction
The final phase consists of the final inspection to ensure no punch-list updates are left unfinished and your dream home is perfect. This is when we will review documentation such as lien waivers, product care and maintenance literature, and our customer satisfaction survey. And of course, our promise to you is in the follow through – we are here for you even after your project wraps!
