Our client’s first-floor remodel included a full transformation of the only bathroom on that level. This powder room, frequented daily by the family and guests, needed to be bold, whimsical, and a source of delight every time someone entered.

Despite the constraints of the existing layout—with the window, door, vanity, and toilet all remaining in their original positions—we created a stunning example of contemporary design. The room features striking floral wallpaper with a black background, adorned with a whimsical botanical pattern. An array of colorful flowers, leaves, and vines in green, white, red, and yellow hues provides a bold yet sophisticated backdrop.

The vanity area commands attention with its sleek, furniture-style cabinet. Crafted from rich walnut wood, the cabinet is perched on architectural gold legs, showcasing a natural grain that adds warmth and texture to the room. It features two U-shaped drawers designed to fit around the plumbing, each accented with slim gold handles that enhance the luxurious feel of the space.

Above the vanity, a white quartz countertop houses a modern sink with clean lines. The faucet, mirror, lights, and accessories are finished in brushed gold, complementing the cabinet hardware and adding a touch of opulence.

Natural light floods the bathroom through the original window, illuminating the space and highlighting the details of the wallpaper and fixtures. The window, framed in white, contrasts sharply with the dark floral wallpaper, enhancing the room’s visual depth.

Luxury vinyl flooring, consistent throughout the first floor, offers a natural, organic contrast to the dark walls, harmoniously tying the various elements of the home together.
